My Lukey Boy

I Love Luke. He is so cute. When Katie, Emily, and I get home from school, he runs to hug me. But when the girls try to take him from me, he would not leave me. I love playing outside with him.

I love Soccer!

I love soccer. Soccer is awesome.

I had a great first game. Our team name is BLAZE. We tied 2-2. My positions for the first game were: forward and center mid-field. My coach said we all did really good. I didn't score any goals but I still had a lot of fun. I got hit with the ball two times, once on my thigh and once on my head and hand at the same time. It hurt, but after some more running it was better.

Ouch! I sneezed.

A couple of nights ago I was in the bathroom standing by the sink. All of a sudden I sneezed. It was such a big sneeze that my forehead hit the counter in front of the sink. Ouch. I lied down on the bed for a few seconds and then I went to tell mom. I showed her the big bump on my head and she said, "What happened?" I told her that I sneezed and then we both got the giggles and we were laughing so hard and couldn't stop. Mom kept laughing, which made me keep laughing, which made Mom keep laughing. She said she was going to pee her pants but that only made us laugh harder. We are getting the giggles right now just thinking about it. Then Megan came in and Mom said, "Why are you out of bed?" and she said, "I need to wash my feet." That made us both start laughing all over again. Mom said, "You can wash your feet in the morning" which made us laugh even harder. It was a giggly night.

Reading is Awesome!

I love reading.

I read "The Hobbit" and have been reading "The Lord of the Ring" series. I just finished 'The fellowship of the Ring" which is the first book. They are great books. I had to borrow my teachers "The Two Towers" because I couldn't wait until I got home to start reading it.


Before I read the Hobbit I was reading the 'Eragon' Series. I will get book #3 when the library calls us. I'm on a waiting list for it. They are awesome books.

In our school we can become 'a millionaire' by reading twenty five chapter books or reading a million words. I am a TWO millionaire because I have read two million words and once I read 50,000 more words then I will be a THREE millionaire.

My Cub Scouts

I love Cub Scouts. It's very fun to work on the Weblos requirements. I have lots of activity badges. I am close to getting my Arrow of Light award. It's very fun to be with all my friends and have activities together. Last meeting we learned how to whip a rope and tie a tie. Our field trip last month was downtown Columbus where we learned about the history of Columbus. It was very fun. Next month's field trip is to the Police Station.

I also love working on Faith in God. Lately I have been trying to do a lot. I love doing Family Home Evening lessons.

Horse back riding lessons

Thursday was my first horseback riding lesson. I got to go instead of Katie because she has a fractured wrist. I got to ride the horse named, Moe. Emily got the horse named, Ace. Our teacher's name is Sister Wiese from my church. When we got to the ranch all the dogs ran towards Luke and started licking his face. He started crying. It was funny.

First I went and got Moe from the field and led him back to the place where we brushed the horses. I learned how to brush him and then I learned how to clean off their hooves. You pat the horses side, run your hand down his leg and he will let you pick it up. Then you scrape out all the dirt to see if there are any rocks that will hurt him. After that I learned how to put the saddle on and then how to ride him. I rode him to the arena. After a bit of riding practice we played basketball on the horse. There was a basket with a lot of balls in it stuck to the fence. You had to ride your horse by the fence, pick out a ball, and throw it in the barrel. It was all about figuring out how to get your horse to go where you wanted him to. Then my teacher said to pick up one of the scarves on the pole and tie it to the fence. It was hard to get Moe close enough to the fence to tie it. After that we rode the horses around a trail. Then we had to stop, take the saddle off, lead our horses into their stalls and sweep the area where our horse was. It was so fun. Can't wait till next month.

Photoshop Creations

Here is another one of my Photoshop creations. My mom taught me how to make a blank file, import pictures, add text, crop and save as a JPEG. Now it's my favorite thing to do. I love playing on the computer. Right now I'm working on a Pokemon powerpoint. I love listening to Pokemon songs on the computer and I will be making more Photoshop creations so keep watching for new ones of the side.

The Social Science Fair

As a school assignment I had to do a project. We got to pick any subject as long as it was in the six categories they assigned. I picked 'Economics' and my project was called "Are Credit Cards good or bad?" and it was all about credit.

During our winter break, judges judged all the fifth grade projects and picked several people from our school to go on to the district fair. I was chosen.


Last Saturday we had to go to the Columbus Museum to drop off my project and then after the judging we came back to get it. I got a 'second place' award and a certificate. Only those with first place winners (and there were two in the category of Economics) get to go on. Maybe next time.

The Word of Wisdom

Yesterday I gave the lesson in family home evening. Part of my lesson was about the word of wisdom. We read D&C section 89. I learned so much from my own lesson. The word of wisdom says first, don't drink alchohol, beer and wine. Second, mostly eat grain and wheat. It also says to mostly eat it when you were hungry. It also says eat meat sparingly especially during the cold months. Then it says that humans should eat grains and wheat and that beasts (animals) should eat grains too. It also says that fruit is good for you too. I thought it was interesting which is listed what each kind of animal should eat. And if you obey the word of wisdom you will receive these blessings: you shall have a healthy body. You shall be happy. You shall live a long life and the destroying angel shall pass you by. You shall wisdom and great treasures of knowledge.

Some people don't understand how much the word of wisdom blesses us. People should be grateful for the word of wisdom because it gives us all the blessings listed above and sometimes more.

Something that is interesting about the word of wisdom is that Heavenly Father gave us these commandments before doctors found out how bad beer alchohol and tobacco were for our bodies. That makes me know that he gave us that commandment so that we could be happy. All his commandments make us happy.

Journal - week of January 11th

Sunday, January 11th, 2009
I had a dream this morning. We were eating dinner. I played at a cool computer game after dinner. I woke up. On the way to church I saw a squirrel. At church we sang Rejoice the Lord King and As Now We take the Sacrament. Then we took the sacrament. I drew a picture. Then Joe Pate gave a talk first. He talked about worthiness. We sang Called to Serve. The High Councilor gave a talk next. Then we sang Redeemer of Israel. In class we learned about the apostasy. In primary we learned verses two and three of the song God gave us Families. At home we did these things: clean kitchen, blogged, ate dinner, gave Luke an interview, Dad gave me a father's interview. In the interview he asked me lots of questions. Then he told me to tell him anything I wanted or needed to tell him. I told him I wanted to spend more time with him and that I needed to practice piano more. We planned to practice piano 30 minutes everyday except Friday.

Monday, January 12th, 2009
I had a good day today. I had musci and I got a 100 in Math. I read a lot today. At night we went to Barnes and Noble for Family Home Evening. There I bought ELDEST... the sequel to ERAGON (the book I'm reading). Eragon is fun. Eragon is about to enter the Hadarac Dessert. It is getting exciting. After I finish Eragon Series I will start the Lord of the Rings series. I watched Lord of the Rings #1 - part two.

Tuesday, January 13th, 2009
I threw up two times in the night. I was very sick. My dad made me not go to school. I wanted to go to school everyday in the year so I could get an award but now I'm not going to get it. In the morning I watcheed Lord of the Rings Two Towers, then I blogged for awhile, then I had a snack. We had french toast for dinner.

Wednesday, January 14th, 2009
I woke up at 7:50. I said a prayer, got dressed, and had breakfast. Then I brushed and flossed teeth and went to school. At school we started a math class where we went to a different classroom and learned math. We divided into different classrooms with different teachers. I was lucky to get my own teacher, Mr. Smith. We learned about measurement. We did an activity where we measured five things in the room or the hallway. We will be doing it everyday. Then we had art. We had recess. We reviewed math homework that I had never done because I hadf veen sick. Then we went to lunch. after lunch we did some math work and got lots of homework. SS, math and spelling homework. At home I finished homework, then went to Cub Scouts. At home I practiced piano and then got redy for bed and went to bed.

I went to school today. I had PE. In PE we did TaeBo. It was a fun day. We did a kids movie night at home. We watched Star Wars the Clone Wars.

Today I woke up and did these things: play wii, eat breakfast, do jobs, eat lunch, have a basketball game. I had a fun basketball game. There were only five people there so everyone got to play the whole game. I made three baskets. At home we did more jobs, then we played wii some more. The Davis' came to our house. We had dinner with them. It was fun. I played some more wii and then went to bed.

I had a weird dream. I was in church. There were 20 seats. One of the boys in the seats yelled 'hey weirdo' Then I forgot the rest of the dream. At church in class we learned about Joseph Smith. We read Jospeh Smith history about how Joseph the vision and how the false churches did not believe him. In primary we learned about Heavenly Father's plan for us. We watched Horton hears a who as a family movie at home.

Monday, January 5th, 2009
I had a dream. I was starting a race. "GO". I climbed a ladder and went down a slide 5 times. After I that I was suddenly in the car with Chase, Jordan and Ken. We got home. We had a babysitter and played outside until midnight and then went to bed. I woke up (in my dream) and mom and dad yelled at me for playing outside at midnight. Then I woke up for real. I played Wii after school, did lots of jobs and had family home evening.

Happy weekend with Happy

I had a fun weekend. On Thursday Emily told mom that she could bring Happy, her class hamster, home for the weekend if mom said she could. I thought Mom would say no, but she said yes. When happy was at home he would do tricks for us. He climbed on the wall of his cage and then did the monkey bars across the ceiling. We put him in his ball and watched him roll around. Once Luke picked up and threw the ball. It's a good thing Happy didn't get hurt. We guarded the ball from Luke from then on.

Another Christmas

A few days ago a package came from my Grandma and Grandpa Walton. We waited to open it when Grandma and Grandpa could watch us through the computer.

There were presents in the package. We all opened ours. I got an awesome book called The Tales of Beedle the Bard, by J. K. Rowling. They got me the one with the cover from Canada. I also got some pokemon cards.

All the girls got aprons and Dad got a cool shirt.

We also got a snack cookbook that was for the whole family. I had lots of fun opening presents that day.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning

On Christmas Eve we did lots of fun things. We made cookies for Santa, we played Christmas songs on the chimes, we acted out the nativity and after lots of fun we went to bed. I couldn't get to sleep because I was so excited. I finally fell asleep.

I was so excited when I woke up. I looked at the time and it was 6:30 so I woke my Mom and Dad up. My mom made me do my hair to get ready. Dad made us close our eyes as he carried us to where everyone else was gathering. We lined up on the staircase. We had to take a few pictures and finally we went to see our presents from Santa. From Santa I got a soccer goal and a Soccer Wii game. I was so excited to play with it. Then we looked in our stockings. I got a Pikachu toothbrush, and I got race car legos, an orange, a magnet that showed lots of different feelings and something to put on the one you feel. I also got two pokemon figurines... kricketot and chatot.

Then we had breakfast. We ate the traditional potato, eggs, sausage, cheese Christmas breakfast with muffins and grape juice. After a very long breakfast we got to open our presents. My mom and dad got me... 8 pokemon figurines, a big Fireman lego set, a small boat lego set, Super Smash Bros. Brawl Wii game, and Sonic and Mario at the Olympic Games Wii game and the movie Kung Fu Panda and Furious 5 movie. My Aunt Amy got me 'Newsies' DVD. My Uncle Brian got me 3 pokemon figurines. My Aunt Ashlyn got me a Sorry Sliders board game. My cousins Tyler and Spencer got me some Pokemon Cards. Grandma and Grandpa Johnson gave me Guitar Hero World Tour Wii game, a book and a shirt and BYU pajama pants. Dan and Sarah got me Horton Hears a Who movie. I was very spoiled. It was an awesome Christmas.

I gave Katie a Disney Fairy book, Emily a Junie B. Jones book, and Megan a crougunk figurine. I got my Dad the movie Ironman and all of the kids gave my Mom some new knives and a knife sharpener.

After we opened up all the presents I started playing my video games.

Halloween fun as a Cowboy!

Halloween was so fun this year. I was a Cowboy. (Sheriff) Luke was a Deputy. The girls were cowgirls. I had so much fun trick-or-treating. At the first house we went to the people there thought we were so cute that they had to take a picture of us. After Emily, Megan, Luke and Mom were done trick or treating, Katie, Dad and I went trick or treating in another neighborhood. On one of the last few houses after we got candy, the person who gave us the candy said, "Say hi to my gorilla". Then we saw a gorilla squatting on the mailbox. At first I thought it was just a toy who looked at whatever was nearest. But then it pretended to start to jump. We got scared.. (just a little). My dad doesn't agree. We stayed away from it as we went to the next house. It kept starring at us. After the next house we ran back to the car watching the gorilla. I got a big bag of candy. I haven't eaten it all yet because there is so much. After we went trick or treating we watched Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull because we rented it. I think it's an awesome movie.

I LOVE READING!

This is the new series I'm reading. I've already finished the first two and right now I'm reading book three. The Series is called Percy Jackson and the Olympians. They are awesome books. I can't wait till I finish all of them. I read book two in twenty-five and a half hours. I loved it. I think I like it a bit more than Harry Potter. My mom thinks that's amazing... hopefully my mom and dad will read them.

At our school we have AR points. (Accelerated Reader) You have to read books and then take a comprehension test on them to get AR points. So far I have 44.3 points and it's the highest in the class. I've taken the tests for

Reading is my favorite subject at school. Sometimes I feel like reading all day.... Like today!

Lots of fun in Las Vegas

I had a fun time in Las Vegas with my friend Carter. We played on the Wii,
we swam in their pool,

we played at a splash park, (Luke and I had a fun time together)

we saw turtles and ducks,

and we took a picture in front of a waterfall.

One day we went boating, tubbing,

and water skiing. My mom and dad waterskied too.



My favorite thing that week was waterskiing and playing Pokemon figurines with Carter. I stayed up for a long time on the waterskies. I had a fun week in Las Vegas.

My birthday

My birthday was June 23 but I'm going to post about it today.

First I made my own birthday cake. My mom didn't help me at all. It was angel food cake with cool whip all over it and blueberries and raspberries.

I got a bunch of presents. I was so excited to open them.

These are all my presents opened. I loved all my presents. I got two books from Lindsey, a bunch of Pokemon cards from my sisters, a new shirt, Dawn and Buneary, a Wii game, a DS, a DS case and a cub scout patch binder from my Mom and Dad. My two favorite presents were my Wii game and the DS.
