Me with my new backpack from Christmas. Katie wanted to try on my backpack.
We had an 11 year old scout campout in Brother Clark’s backyard. He is my scout leader- bottom right. First we set the tent up. Then we ate our sack dinner that we brought from home. After that we went to the store to buy our breakfast and lunch for the next day. That passed off some of my scout requirements. We played some games outside and jumped on their trampoline. Then we read the scriptures with him and then made smores. Most of them liked getting their marshmallows caught on fire before they ate them. But I don’t like it that way. After all that fun we went to bed.
I woke up in the morning and shortly after Jordan and Caden woke up. Then, once Dean woke up we started making our breakfast. Bacon and eggs – bottom left. Each scout made their own scrambled eggs. We had orange juice as well. Then we took a walk out into the woods doing several requirements along the way. Afterwards we went to the indoor pool on base to pass off some swimming requirements. I had to swim 75 feet straight. We also practiced saving people who were drowning. Then we went back and ate lunch and then got ready to go home. I had a great time. I can’t wait for March’s camp out.

Ryan, so great to see some pictures of your fun scout camp. Thanks for the update. Also loved seeing the picture of you and Katie with your SUPERIORS!! Good job.
Cool Ryan! My dad and I just went on a scout hike too! We drove 4 hours to La Push beach (werewolf territory) and hiked about 5 miles to our comp site. In the morning we hiked back to the van and drove another 4 hours to get home. We had to hike up cliffs with ropes and ladders with our giant packs!
Micah,
FUN!!! I love camping. That looks like a sweet backpack too!
